About Always-On Heart Rate

This Wear OS app shows the following metrics while keeping the device awake:
• Heart rate (bpm).
• Time (hours and minutes).
• Duration (minutes and seconds).
• Average and maximum heart rate for the latest 60 seconds.
• Battery percentage.

Gesture Control:
• Swipe left to begin Settings to customize your experience.
• Swipe right for the History tab, showing the maximum and average heart rate for 1-minute intervals and for the entire workout.
• Swipe up to change font color to white and increase thickness for better readability in sunlight (increases power consumption).
• Swipe down from the middle to check power consumption (~8%/hour on a 44mm Galaxy Watch 6).
• Tap to enlarge heart rate font.

Text-to-Speech:
• The application can read your heart rate aloud when it exceeds user-defined HRmax or HRmin limits.
• Tap the screen to hear the current time.
• Supports most languages.

Important Notes:
• Optimize your workout by setting HRmax and HRmin. The application alerts you with visual, audio (beeps, voice), and tactile notifications each Two seconds when HR exceeds HRmax or drops below HRmin.
• The duration metric can either present the total time or only the time when your heart rate exceeded the HRmin limit, based on your preference.
• Set HRmin to 95% of your resting HR to wake you up if you fall asleep.
• All values update each second, except battery percentage and time (once a minute).
• The display stays on until you quit the app.
• For uninterrupted use, disable Samsung Health workout detection.

Power-Saving Features:
• Minimal UI design.
• No internet or GPS usage.
• You can quickly pause or resume the heart rate sensor and timer between exercises.
• Only the green subpixels are used to reduce power consumption.
• Adjust brightness using the rotating bezel or crown.
• Numbers shift up or down the screen in the 1st second of each minute (e.g., 11:05:00, then 11:06:00, etc.) to prevent screen burn-in and give a better sense of time.
